Beasley Kamau (Kogi) went missing during the height of the protests on June 26, 2024. His body was later found under suspicious circumstances, showing signs of torture. A digital activist and informal worker in Nairobi’s Central Business District, Beasley was a regular in online spaces advocating for transparency and anti-corruption. His unexplained death added to the fears of enforced disappearances targeting vocal protestors.
